SAORI Weaving is freestyle weaving where there are “no rules and no mistakes”. Explore your own creativity through colour, texture and fibre and create a beautiful weaving to take home. This workshop is for anyone, no weaving experience is required.
The SAORI philosophy from Japan encourages you to “Look out with Eyes that Shine” and see beauty everywhere around you. When you sit at the loom you can transform those inspirations into one-of-a-kind cloth to be used for clothing, as a wall hanging, in your home, as a bag, or anything else you might decide.
Looms are provided and ready to weave on and all materials are supplied.
For those that have their own SAORI loom you can also join us as a community weaver.
